Some of my favorite records lately from 2025

  • Dialog – DOT 3 (feat. Benji) [DOT]

Samuel van Dijk (VC-118A) and Rasmus Hedlund return for a third plate in their ongoing exploration of roots-minded dub techno with Jamaica-born, Finland-based vocalist Benji.

The vocals set the tone on both these new tracks, as Benji meditates on internal and external forces with his own brand of old-soul wisdom. Better Way is an upfront steppa reflecting on the need for new solutions to solve humanity enduring problems, while Child Was I travels deeper inwards to highlight the importance of lived experience in shaping the inner self as we grow.

  • T.E.C. – Speed To Burn [Serenity Now Recordings]

Back on track setting the tone for the new year with the highly anticipated EP “Speed to Burn” by T.E.C. This sonic journey blazes through a spectrum of tempos and moods, delivering five dynamic tracks that navigate effortlessly from floaty downtempo atmospheres to high-octane peak-time bliss.

  • Kosh –  Lost In Change

Heavy, mind-warping techno built for the late-night sessions. Kosh delivers deep, rolling basslines and spaced-out textures with pure underground energy. A must-have for selectors who like it deep and driving.

  • Colectivo Miramar – Terapia Latina

From the Caribbean coasts to the Pacific mountains, Colectivo Miramar presents this album evoking the essence of the sea and the sand, original cuts inspired by cosmic and hypnotizing sounds that embrace the past, present and future. The energetic bass lines and piano riffs create a perfect ambiance to melt into starry nights by the sea.

Mexico-based Nico Jean and DJ Raw offer this album as an expression of their love for music and a powerful message in these troubled times. A gift of love for all.

  • Tornado Wallace – Bitter Suite [Test Pressing Recordings]

We are happy to welcome Tornado Wallace to the Test Pressing fold with another exploration into long–form dance music on the lead track, accompanied with a drift into ambience and some classic bonus beats. The Underground Sound Of Lisbon’s Rui Da Silva supplies a remix taking the main mix and making it work for dark corners in large rooms.

  • Pacific Coliseum – Voice Wave LP [Noire & Blanche]

Voice Wave’ is the new album from Pacific Coliseum (aka Jamison Isaak) also known as Teen Daze, his first full-length release since 2020’s, How’s Life.

Across 12 tracks, the album weaves through a kaleidoscope of different genres and sounds, all with Isaak’s characteristic warm production. The album features collaborations with balearic legend Ruf Dug and Italian party starters, Eternal Love.

Influenced by his love of All Things Balearic, the theme of the album is succinctly summed up in the repeated phrase of the track, “Understanding”: “Let go of what you’re feeling.” Let go, and let the sounds of Voice Wave crash over you.

  • SnPLO – The cocaines [Pin]

Third Pin release by the SnPLO collaborative project, blinding blends of twisted, minimalist House / Techno grooves
