Esencia 069 – max self
max self is a DJ from Lewisham, London. He runs a tape label called Sweet Tapes – putting out mixes from the likes of Eliza Rose and Tia Cousins. Also he runs a Youtube channel ‘Sweet Crates’ in conjunction, uploading unearthed gems from his collection. Over the years he has also thrown lowkey parties across his hometown, with Fantastic Man and Bjørn Torske among his bookings.
As a DJ he draws from a wide range of influences, from heavyweight dub, soul and downtempo to blissed-out house, ukg and jungle, a slice of which is on display here.
